Obama overkill?

Tagged:  •    •

When I learned of this up-coming spot some weeks back, my initial thought was 'too much' and probably 'unneccessary'. After three Prez. debates and wall-to-wall ads since Labor Day, this could well be over-exposure:

The bad economic news is dominating discussion on the campaign trail and in many houses across the country. Troy Neff, morning radio host on WCWA 1230 AM, asks the simple question without an easy answer in this edition of Rant and Rave - is the worst over?

Should be an interesting Monday, stock-wise and otherwise...

What ever happened with the Robo Trash trucks?

Tagged:  •    •

The automated trash pick up trial seems to have slipped from the news. I was wondering if anyone has heard how it went or how its going. It seemed like it was such big news for a while and then *poof* it was gone.

I'm curious to hear how it worked out on the narrow side streets and if they plan to expand the trial to other areas.

Petraeus Points to War With Iran

The neocons may yet get their war on Iran.

Ever since President Nouri al-Maliki ordered the attacks in Basra on the Mahdi Army, Gen. David Petraeus has been laying the predicate for U.S. air strikes on Iran and a wider war in the Middle East.

When Detroit Public Schools Superintendent Connie Calloway took the job, she said she'd be a leader driven by sound data, not by tradition or community pressure.

What is the Number One Best Reason to vote for any of the Candiates? And Worst?

Tagged:  •    •

I realize I have been very negative about all the presidential candiates. And I also realize, that I am not the brightest bulb in the box & most political & economic things are way over my head. I am asking for insight here, from people who, I'm sure, know more about this stuff than I do. I do ask that you try to be brief & to the point, and not to go too far over my head.

Attention Democrats-if your candidate is not nominated will you vote for John McCain?

I have to admit I am a bit green behind the ears when it comes to blogging and the internet in general as a tool. I like this site but find it difficult to use. Sometimes its the needle in the haystack approach, but when I take the time to follow a posting and the responses I am less than satisfied.

The LA Times is calling CNN a corrupt organization because of the Republican YouTube debate.

Their rational is because very little time was spent on the Iraq War and over 30mins on immigration when only 6% of the voting public thinks of it as a major issue.

What questions should Board of Education candidates be asked???

Tagged:  •    •

There are a couple of debates scheduled for the Toledo Public School board candidates and I'm curious...

1) Will you attend or watch them on tv, either live or otherwise?

2) What questions would you like asked?

3) If you could ask only one candidate a question, who would you pick and what question would you ask?

Please share your thoughts...

Is it me or does anyone else think it's way too early for two candidates from opposite sides to begin squabbling. After all neither has yet to prove that they will even be the nominee for their respective parties.
