Stun might be too strong a word but both Bill Kitson of United Way and John Baker of the ILA had some interesting things to say this morning on my show. Take a minute, actually a few more than that, to listen to both of them at www.wspd.com as they are both now podcast.

I just listened back to the replay of my own show from this morning and heard Mike Miller at 6a say that the mayor is now conducting an investigation of his own into the Port Authority. Is this true or was Michael just pulling my leg? By the way I also heard that the police are not doing roll call at the Northwest Substation anymore, Tom Waniewski told me that at 6a on Monday.

Jim Tuschman the head of the mayor's newly named intermodal committe will be my guest Tuesday morning. Following a long talk this afternoon I believe what he has to say tomorrow will be of interest to anyone wishing to see this area thrive and grow once again. Mr. Tuschman is a life long Toledo resident, attorney, UT regent, and former UT Board member.

Rather than wait to read it in the paper Brian Wilson and I attended the announcement this morning of a new development of Toledo's riverfront. The Port Authority has acquired the former Chevron land in East Toledo. The site will be developed by Midwest Terminals of Toledo as part of a private-public partnership.

Thursday morning I will be speaking with Richard Martinko P.E. on the topic of an Intermodal facility in our region. Mr. Martinko was at the meeting earlier this week with the Port Authority, WSPD, WTOL, and developer Brian McMahon where the need for this type of facility was discussed.

And today we have another reporting the city government gives the management of Southwyck 72 hours to ensure the public is protected from the areas contaminated with asbestos and mold. The dog warden who's looking to make sure your dog is licensed, that's who. Starting tomorrow the Lucas County Dog Warden office will be going door to door to find dogs without licenses. Tom Skeldon will be on with me tomorrow at 7:45 to talk about it.

Fred LeFebvre interviewed Judge Tim Kuhlman this morning about how talks are going between the municipal courts and the administration. Fred LeFebvre was told that the talks aren't going very well at all and that council member Michael Collins doesn't understand the way the system works when it comes to funding the court system.
