Is the new marina district and Southwyk in trouble given the banking environment? We will probably know in 6 months. What do you think?
Is the marina district and other large projects in Toledo in trouble?

The Marina plan has already been scaled back and with no money to be loaned I think that Southwyck will sit empty for at least the next two years.
just the KAT, thinking out loud again.

not only is the housing market doomed for the long term, but i suspect development in the area (by non-chains) is going to die off for the short term, and probably long term as well.
we've only begun to see the effects of the stock market collapse, as well as the housing market.
Are now looking for ways to capitalize on the decline in real estate prices.
Watching Donald Trump yesterday speak about this being the time to buy real estate.
Warren Buffet invested 5$ Billion and possibly more in Goldman Sachs, all in anticipation of profits.
It's gonna take a lot of work to make the Marina District attractive, in a cosmetic sense, to buyers.
If the city and the developer can line up investors which a proper business plan it could succeed.
